Jennings

I have a Jennings Quasar and loved this bow. Unfortunately, I went to draw it one day and the limb cracked. Jennings bows has a “Limited Lifetime” warranty on the limbs. These two words do not even belong together. Limited and Lifetime. How stupid do they think we are? Jennings will do nothing to repair or replace. I guess I am done bow hunting. A properly cared for weapon should last forever, and an American company should stand behind its product. Anyone have any ideas how I can get this problem resolved?

leasing outfitters vs adjacent landowners

How would you feel about an outfitter that leases ground next to you, sneaks on to your ground and everyone else adjacent to you, then turns around and threatens you and your neighbors?

Martin Cheetah for sale- Great Christmas Gift

I bought this bow in March of 2008 and it’s practically brand new. I’m selling everything you see here, bow-sight-quiver-rest-field points-case-3 arrows. The string is fraying and needs to be replaced. I am located in Central Iowa but would be willing to ship. Please email me if you’d like any more information. Thanks! Bowtech General vs. SWAT

I am relatively new to bow hunting and I have an old XI Legend. I have been looking at a 2009 Bowtech SWAT or a 2008 Bowtech General. The General has the new limbs and is in great shape. The SWAT is shorter than my current bow and has a shorter draw length. The General is about the same size. I have shot the SWAT but not the General. The SWAT is new and costs about $625. The General is used and costs about $425. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks for your help

Best medium for penetration tests?

Howdy folks,

I’m new to bowhunting and am wanting to do all the testing that I can to make sure that the arrow and head that I’m using will do the job. Part of what I want to test is various weights of arrow and heads to see which give me the kind of penetration that I’m looking for.

IE What will this arrow do at this range and this one at that range.

Any suggestions on a medium to use for this testing?

Regards,

Pat

Ur satnd

Set my stand up back in Feb. Cut some lanes, made two paths and maint. them to this stand thru-out the year. Hunted this stands alot early season, but as the season progressed and the leaves dropped off I found myself feeling like I`d get picked off easy here…so I put up another one about 20yrds away, stuffed it in a group of trees. Concealed, comfortable. Thinking this is sweet I hear a crash crunch crunch and low and behold here comes “bucknutty” down the hill and right by me old stand…15yrds broadside quaterting away. All I could do was watch. I broke the golden rule I established for myself many many years ago…”Do not give up on your stand”. Nice big body 8…walking away. Be smart…it`s worth the wait

halloween weekend was great for me

primos can call brought him right in

primos can call brought him right in

5×9 14 point killed in northern missouri on Nov. 1st.  I climbed up in the stand at about 5:45 and let things settle down for a while and then a few minutes after good daylight i hit my primos original can call three times and this buck immediately came trotting down the hill right to my stand. I stopped him when he was about 10 yards away and let an arrow fly. My 85 gr. G5 Montec hit its mark and the deer ran about 150 yards and fell over dead, after crossing a creek that is about 20 feet deep but luckily it only had about 5 inches of water in it.  I dont know how this deer made it this far because when we field dressed it we found out that the arrow hit both lungs and part of his heart.  I know that dragging this deer was the worst drag i have ever had because the creek was about 5 feet deep earlier in the week and the banks were very muddy and slick, it took everything that me, my uncle and my cousin had to drag this deer up the bank of the creek.  The fact that the deer weighed about 200 lbs field dressed didnt help either.  But in the end it was all worth the trouble.

Does anyone know how you would score this deer?
